Jasmine's Prefect Assembly

This week it was Jasmine's turn for her presentation at assembly.  Jasmine told us all about Bethany Meilani Hamilton-Dirks, an American professional surfer who survived a 2003 shark attack in which her left arm was bitten off, but ultimately returned to and was victorious in professional surfing.

Thank you Jas for your very informative and interesting talk on determination, faith and hope.

Mr Holgate introduces Jasmine to the assembly.

Kye helps Jasmine to show the size of the shark that bit Bethany.

Finley assists Jasmine in demonstrating a tourniquet.

Jasmine tells us all about the determination, faith and hope shown by Bethany that inspires Jasmine and millions of others.

A little bit of magic at TPS

Last week we welcomed Mr Baron and Willie the Wellington Boot all the way from beautiful Lancashire in the UK.  The children enjoyed a fabulous magic show.  Thank you Mr Baron and Willie for keeping us entertained and teaching us a few magic tricks!

Rehearsals are under way for Midsummer Night's Dream.  The Key Stage 2 children are performing this piece of Shakespeare's work on 15 and 16 March in conjunction with Shakespeare Week at Tabuk Primary School.

Shakespeare week is a national annual celebration giving primary school children a great first encounter in Shakespeare.  In 2016 we mark 400 years of Shakespeare's creative legacy with thousands of other schools, families and organisations.

Today marked the start of our new weekly prefect assemblies. Each week a prefect will take the school assembly.  This week it was Thomas's turn.

Thomas talked to the whole school assembly about the Chinese New Year - great timing Thomas!
The children enjoyed listening and taking part in his very interesting talk.

Great work Thomas!
