World Book Day is a celebration!
It’s a celebration of authors,
illustrators, books and (most importantly) it’s a celebration of reading. In
fact, it’s the biggest celebration of its kind, designated by UNESCO as a worldwide celebration of books and reading, and
marked in over 100 countries all over the world.
To mark this event, we invited all our
pupils to come to school on Thursday 1 March dressed as their favourite author
or character from a book.
Prizes were
given for the best dressed boy and girl in each key stage.
We held fun activities
during our school day for the children and FOTPS are holding a fun evening of
movie, pizza and games too.
