The Year Two Class Learn about the Length of a Kilometre

The Year Two Class ran one kilometre.  They know that they have to run the 100m length 10 times to make a kilometre.  All the children finished!!  Well done, Year 2!

The Year Two Experience Maths and Science in the Real World

The Year Two Class measured off 100m to learn more about metres.  They know they measure large things with metres.  They ran the 100m as fast as they could and then compared their speed to Bolt's fastest 100m speed.  They discovered that Bolt is more than twice as fast as they are.  They also used the force of "push" to make their run.

Maths and Science in the Real World for Year Two

All the children had an opportunity to run 100m as fast as they could!
