KS1 and their marvellous inventions

“My ears are cold!”
How many times have you said this before?!
Solution…? Earmuffs of course!
At the age of 15, whilst ice skating, Chester Greenwood had cold ears.
Result = earmuffs were invented!

K.I.D. – Kid Inventors’ Day is celebrated on January 17th, the birth anniversary of Benjamin Franklin, who invented the first swim flippers almost 300 years ago at age 12.

KS1's homework project was to design and make a new invention.

Their invention had to be:
·        something new.
·        something useful.
·        something that can be made now or in the future.
·        something that won’t hurt anyone.
·        something sturdy.

Here we see the children explaining how their inventions work...

Abraham receives a special commendation for his super invention - Well Done!
