Light and Shadows

We have been learning about light and shadows in Years 3 & 4.  We have learnt there are two different types of light source, natural and man made.  We conducted an experiment to investigate which materials are transparent, translucent and opaque.  We used torches and different types of material to carry out our experiment.  We predicted most of the materials correctly.  We then enjoyed making shadow boxes.

Following a full day the children had a BBQ, camp fire, stories and singing.

Annual BAE School Sports

The children are loving their time with all the other Year 5 & 6 children from BAE schools.

They threw down some moves on the dance floor, had a swim gala and played water polo. The children took part in lots of group activities : bowling, tie-dye t-shirts and science.

Wow...the fun never stops!

Desert Camp

At the desert camp.

The children enjoyed water colour and pastel painting, a nature walk, team building games, rock art and a barbecue lunch cooked by Mr C.

A fabulous day, followed by pizza and a disco.
