Year 2 have been learning about the human body. We found out
that some people have parts of their arms and hands missing. We found out about
a girl who had a bright pink prosthetic hand made for her. So we made our
own “robotic hands” using cardboard, glue, sticky tape, string and straws.
The children are just loving Dibba Camp. This afternoon they've been
Kayaking and raft building. The children were split into
2 groups. The raft builders were given 10 minutes to try and build a raft that
would hold their team using 4 plastic drums, ropes and 2 poles. Then after
10mins, the instructor gave them some tips on tying the ropes together.
After a full day, the children took part in an "egg drop" challenge.
The children created a successful parachute for their egg to drop undamaged from the climbing tower.
