The Year Two's Annual Paper Aeroplane Contest in Science

Each year in science during our study of Forces, the children make paper aeroplanes to study "pushes and pulls."   We have a contest in which the children get three tries at throwing their paper aeroplanes indoors.  We measure the farthest distance in metres for each child.  Coming in first place this year was Thomas Holgate with 9.85 metres; second place was Ibrahim Jansson with 9 metres; third place was Freddie Sington with 8 metres.  All the children did really well and put a lot of effort into the contest.  The Tabuk Primary School record still belongs to Tara Nicholls who had 16.2 metres.  Tara was in Year 2 during the 2006-2007 year.
