Tudor Day

Key stage 2 has been studying the Tudors. We found out about Henry and his wives, as well as Tudor buildings and clothes. We developed characters from our factual knowledge and imagination!

Then we made costumes for these characters.

At the end of the half terms work we had a huge Tudor banquet accompanied by dances and plays. Some people were rich and ate tasty soups and chicken. Some people were poor and had some rather digesting pottage!

The children performed skits about Henry and his wives and also acted out monologues they had written about their characters. They would have been right at home at Shakespeare’s globe theatre!
